ok so i'm confused about where to place jack stands. you put the jack in the notched part of the frame but where to you put the stand?

anywhere on the frame of the car that is equal length from each other.

you don't neccessarily have to jack up at the notch either.

the notch is primarilly used for the sccissor jacks.

Make sure to chock the wheels so that the stands do not shift their weight.
