Fog lights not working

Fog lights not working

Postby TRD73 » Wed May 19, 2004 1:47 pm

Hey what's up guys....I had a quick question. I changed my fog lights the other day with Silverstars, today when i was driving to work they would not come on :-? . I was wondering if anybody knew what the problem might be. Before today they were working fine. When i go home later i'm gonna take a look at it. But just in case if it's not something that is obvious what else could it be?? fuse? some kind of electrical short?? Thanx in advance.

when you put them in, did you touch the glass part of the bulbs? Youre not supposed to... the oil from your hands will heat up and cause the bulbs to blow... and Im sure it says that on the box

i doubt its any wiring or fuses... try to put back your OEMs (w/o touching the glass haha) and see if it works

lets start with the simplest check.

is the fog light switch on?

are your head lights on while the fog lamp switch is on?

Yeah they're boyz. From the Mid-Atlantic meets.

Rodney (TRD73)...

Remember that the fog lights are 5 months old when I gave them to you. I heard that the Silverstars don't have a very long lifespan. So are they working now or was Thai (Fenix) hammered? :drinking:

hehe, we went to watch the King game last night in TGIF's bar.

Before going home, I was about to check it for him but those mofo were working like nothing happened.

Maybe he was in need of some beer before posting this message. LOL.
