trac off flashes after new springs

I've run into a bit of a problem. I bought some TRD springs for my 99 SLE. I got the front ones in a while ago but didnt have time to put rears in. Finally did tonight, took her out for a drive and now my ABS light stays on and the TRAC OFF light flashes. I didnt touch any brake lines or sensors. Anyone have an idea what I did? Brakes work fine so I can at least drive her till I figure it out. Maybe I bumped the sensor?

bingo! you prolly tripped the abs sensor as the traction control works using the same thing. If you are lucky, it may just be a loose connection, if not plan on spending some cash to buy a new sensor/line. Its in the sticky section, ready up about it.

i can only assume the rear abs lines.

they are shorter than the front lines.

check them asap.

That happened to me when I had the struts put on. It was the speed sensor. The dealer quoted 500 give or take. The shop that did the install got the part for 180 from the same dealer.

gosh darn dealers... sorry for the harsh language...

Is there a regulation on how much you can mark up the price?? this is absolutely insane.

500 was including the installation. But still thats really high.. its even higher than installing the struts/spring at the same dealership :x .

Yup. Took it in to the dealer and paid $80 for them to tell me what I already knew. They quoted me at $700 for the 2 new sensors and install. BS!! Does anyone know where the sensor wires run. The dealer made it sound like they ran under the back seat so maybe I just bumped something loose when I was putting in the springs? Feed back appreciated.

get it fixed quick cuz chances r u have no abs right now. if the shop wasn't careful could be broken the relay cable. and a good shop would fix it and not charge you.

hey guys... talked to the guy at the shop, they were suppose to fix it last friday but toyota did not have the abs sensor in stock so they were gonna do it today, but the manager that was going to do it wasn't going to be able to because he had to take care of some business. I'm getting it fixed tomorrow for FREE, he said that they pinched the abs sensor or something so they'll get it fixed... thanks for your help... im loving the look, just got to lower the back a lil more so its even with the front... take pics soon... thanks guys...
