You can do just springs, but the results will not be favorable. Stock struts will wear out very quickly (I've heard about 5000 miles) and the ride will be very bouncy. 1As far as the 8x7.5 and 18x8.5, 18 is the wheel diameter in inches and the 7.5 and the 8.5 is the wheel width in inches. The bolt pattern is 5 lug by 114.3 millimeters (5x114.3, also known as 5x4.5 in inches). Your best bet for springs are either vogtland, tein or eibach and for the struts, most here have tokico blue struts. You can also go with coilovers made by a few companies like tein and JIC, but that will set you back a considerable ammount more, but it's worth it is you are looking for something that is adjustable in both height and dampening force
