Paint-matching grill

Paint-matching grill

Postby thealkimo » Tue Jul 06, 2004 2:22 pm

i was wondering if anyone knows a good place in Santa Clara county or a national chain that could paint match my custom grill to diamond pearl white. one place felt they would have to repaint the entire front bumper and hood which wouldn't be a terrible thing since i have some chips, but is a bit more time and money i would like to spend at this time. and buying lots of 051 touch-up paint and dabbing it on didn't work too well so i had to repaint it back to bone white. thanks.

WOW. . I painted mine with rustolium metalic black and no issues yet. Only a bit chipping on the actual grill but that can easily be fixed with small dabs. No chips on the frame and I did not even sand it down. I'm supposed to post pics on another thread so I'll post the thread hear for your referrence. Waiting for my wife to get home so I can take the pic.

I think in your case since your car is white you might want exact color matching. I would. Unless your going black also.

it's white but it does not match the "pearl white" of the Solara, so it clashes pretty badly in direct sunlight...
