no, knock sensors are like pizo microphones that listen for engine knock. they are located inside the engine.

i saw thoose mr2 knock sensors but would they fit the 1mzfe....i got a toyota mechanic to do them as a side job for a good price...

for the knock sensors which 1s should i get japan built or usa built or is there a differnce...i own a camry not a solara......but i know they
share the same platform....

I was under the impression that all toyotas used the same knock sensors, or at least very similar.

and the ones on that site are GM adapters, so USA built
