Mods on the door/dash wood?

Hey guys,

Anybody ever do any mods with the stock wood pieces of a 2k solara? I’m talking about the wood pieces that go along the top of the door and dash. I like the luxury look of the wood, but I think I want to get an aluminum dash kit to make it look a little sportier. I think the aluminum with wood will look like crap. The dash kit’s I’ve seen don’t have any pieces for the wood that’s already in the car…so, any mods out there that you guys have done? If so…pics?

What kind of paint is that? Did you have to take it off or just mask around it?

It's just spray paint i got from advance auto parts. It's easier to take it off, it's just held in by clips, than putting tape everywhere.
