Fuse Blown?

Fuse Blown?

Postby SolaraT » Tue Jan 11, 2005 8:42 am

Ok so I was goofing around a while back with LEDs and I accidentally touched a negative and positive wire together while testing out an LED. These neg/pos wires were for the ashtray light.
This resulted in my dash lights being blown. The weird part is that the signals, auto shift gate, and other notification icons still light; just the backlight for the odometer, speedometer, tachometer, & fuel and temp are blown.

Also, the auto shifter light is blown too.

I tried to find the fuse to no luck.

Anyone know which one will fix this? I don't think the bulbs are blown, can they?

Either way, which fuse is it?

Thanks,
Louis

if u havent already fixed it, the fuse is behind the small change drawer on the
left side of the steering wheel below it. one in there should be named "PANEL"
and its a 7.5 amp. i blew mine while installing a radio. good luck with it.

I dont think its a fuse. Me and a few other people that had electrical issues like this founded out it was the wirings behind the fuse box that burnt out, while none of the fuse blew. So yeah if you see all the fuse still in one peice, you got the same problem like me and some other people.

Nothing. I Just need a completely new wire harness for that whole area. Some other guy on this forum did it and cost him almost 1 grand except his was really bad.
