Lost My Valet Key! How to get NEW Valet KEY!

Hi Guys! I'm new here as you can see. I lost my valet key and would like to know how to get a new valet. I don't want another master key, just the valet key. Is that possble? I searched and no post talked about getting a new valet key. Only about new MASTER KEYS. Please let me know.

well look on ebay, if your car has the transponder key, i think u'd need a transponder key duplicate from ebay which is probably the cheapest way to go...they give u programming instructions too......otherwise if you just copy and put the key in the ignition, the cylinders in the lock will turn but the transponder or watever wont let the car turn on,......someone correct me if im wrong.

O yea, forgot to say I have a 2000 SLE and I do have the transponder keys. I still have the 2 master keys that came with the car. I just need another Valet key you know. I don't know how they gonna cut the key into a valet key since I don't have the valet key for them to duplicate. Let's say I buy a key from ebay, then what do I do? How can I make a valet key without the valet key? You know what I mean?

the valet key is the same cut, just a different blank. Its a little shorter i believe and thats what makes the difference.

If you were to get the transponder valet blank, you could have it made from an original

same size.. its just the master key is black, while the valet is brown... and the valet key doesn't do somethings that the master key does

Its a different blank though. The think the valet key doesn't have the last notch or something. There is a physical difference in the keys/cut of the key

O so if I get the valet key blank and they cut the key with my master key and it'll function as a valet because the valet key black is diff from the master key blank right?

What about the progamming of the valet key? Is it diff from progamming the master key or progam it the same as you would a master key?

Valet key will program the same as a master key, its just a different key
