Solara with tints

Im gettn tints this week, i dont know what to do, What tint looks good on a 2000 se black?, with black interrior. I heard its illegal to have the front driver and passenger windows tinted, but my friend said its just pointless if i dont tint those too.. So what should i do. So far ive heard 15% all in the back and 35 for the front two, but i might not get the front done...what would you guys suggest?

I went thru the same thing you did when i had my cars windows tinted..

i went with 16% in the rear and 32" in the front. This is titanium tint

Heres a picture of how they look like. Also i have tan interior so the tint didn't show up as dark. If you have gray or black its gonna look darker.

Hmmm, 15 in the back will be pretty dark . . . I would say go a lil lower on the fronts, maybe like 30% or somethin. Mine are 18% all around except the front windshield. I also have a tan interior, but it's already nice and black on the outside. It's an old pic, but the tint is jus the same.

yea ill prolly get like 20 for the back and the back seat windows, and just leave the front driver and passenger alone.

I'm not sure what I have on mine but it's not dark enough IMO.

Just make sure you go below the AS1 line otherwise it looks goofy.

front is level 2, back is level 4 darkness (1 is minimum, 5 is maxmum)

20% all around. It is illegal to have it on the fronts here in N-E-W Jerz, you wont pass inspection, but I've found that if you have the sunroof open, pigs won't bother you.

It let's more light in man.
I have 20% all around.
And the Po-po's don't bother me.
They only look over cause my music so dnag loud. [Or course wit the SR open]

i got pulled over with my windows down because of tint. The cop told me to roll them up so he could see if the fronts were tinted. I asked is that the only reason you pulled me over, he said yes.

same thing happened to me...

i got like 4 fix-its for my tints (20% full side and rear) within 2 months, decided no more tinting on the sides unless it's state legal which is 70% which is hardly worth the $$$ and i'd prob even get pulled over for that too which is ridiculous

but anyways, 20% is about as dark as i would go, it can get mighty hard to see out your side windows at night with anything lower...

i got 20% in the back, nothin up front and im satisfied. It looks dark enough from outside, and from inside there isn't a problem seeing out when i am backing up

I have 18% all around. I have never gotten pulled over for having too dark of tint. Backing up at night is a little of a pain in the rump but I find it's the perfect darkness. I do have a tan interior so it makes it look a little lighter from the outside. Also, the fairway pearl green kind of reflects off the tint and gives it a small amount of green tinge to the tint. Love it.
