here is my main concern, I have a 99 se v6 5 speed. I went to pull out in the rain today and it started spinnin so I swithed to second real quick and the clutch was slipping bad, It was revving above where it should be untill finnaly it caught, so I was like damn clutch. So now a couple times today i would be drving and when I came to a stop and right after I put the clutch in, the idle would jolt real quick a thats it, That happened a couple different time. Just putt around come to a stop push in the clutch and the idle would jolt down almost into a stall, and then everything is fine, any ideas,
2. I notice that sometimes if im in first and my car starts spinning , the front end will just jump and jolt and sound like its about to loose a tire, almost like its hopping, is that normal, btw i am lowered wih teins and tokicos,
which brings me to my last prob, sorry so long tring to save post space,
3. Just recently I started having a knock/rattle coming from my rear right tire area when I hit bumps of different varities, It seems to be the worst when someone is sitting back there, juust like a thunk or knock, any ideas on that.
Well thanks later

How many miles do you have on the car? When you said you pull out in the rain and it revs to hiigh> that could be your tires still spinning. The rattle you hear is the strut assembly being wrong. This seems to be a common problem with lowered solaras. Just reasemble it and it will fic the problem.

The OE clutch won't last too much more than 100k for most of our driving habits. I noticed during higher RPM hard shifts, it would search and finally grab. I had it replaced 1 month later and there was less than 1mm left.

t be

the wheel hop shouldnt happen all the time.
i think it happens as a result of high friction or traction combined with a slow "burnout" speed or slow rotation of the wheels.

and it shouldnt happen on a smooth road
it usually happens after hitting a bump or hole when doing a burnout and the tire begins to kinda bounce up and down while its still doing a burnout.
thats my take on it, whether its right i dont know

yeah its never happened on on smooth road, ussually rough surfaces and like a dry spot when in the rain or turning. I figured it was common it certain situations of wheel spin, I hate it though it cant be good on my car . So in takes on my other probs, thanks so far

1) Your clutch is wearing out. If pretty sure you clutch in normal then gas it allot but not to a point of hard acceleration. That kills your clutch too even though its not hard acceling.Just dont shift too hard until you can get it replace unless you want to see the consiquence like my friends celica. Instead of going out the clutch in the end crack and tore through his motor. It was fun replacing the 4 grand block.

2) If your doing that while pealing out, expecet hoppings. if your taking off normal and you feel that, Careful the screws holding your shocks together wasnt tightened enough. Either that or your tires are squared and unbalance due to fun acceleration and braking.

3) When you brake does the sound get worst in the back? Jack up that section of that car. When that tire on that side is off the ground put both hands on the tires and rock it back and fourth. If ithe tire shakes but the car doent. See if the bolts are loose. If it isnt then your bearings are broken.. replace time. To replace it you have to get it through the dealership and dont buy the bearing alone. They sell it through the whole thing. Its the bearing with the thing that holds the rim on. It costed me 280 bucks with discount when I got mine. If you buy the bearings alone good luck trying to get the piece out becuase you cant do it and have it last They have one on ebay but only the bearing part. You wont be happy with that only. You have to buy that whole section. So hope that helps.

reason me saying this. I been through it and so have my other friends. Ill try to get pics of the bearing section later if you dont understand.

I dont think it gets worse when I brake, just when I hit any sort of joly in the road, it just a little thunk or knock, and gets worse with weight in the back. I think my front left might be starting to i dunno, but anyway, we have a lift in our garage so I am gonna work on it tommorow after my last final, any suggestions on what to look for back there. I also need to look at my exhaust as it is swaying back in forth more than Id liek it to when I rock the car left and right and its hitting somthing under there, thats what I thought the noise was to begin with but noo, thanks later

Check if the bearings are loose by rocking the rims back and fourth.
