Kit paint chipping off...

Kit paint chipping off...

Postby Akfahad » Sun Apr 03, 2005 2:11 pm

hey guys,
the paint on my kit is starting to come off, but only where the kit sits behind each tire, (from rocks and all that). I've been looking for something that i can "slap" on there to prevent the rocks from wearing the paint down to the fiberglass. any ideas??

its normal..i'm guessing you referring to the front side of skirts and front side of rear valances. I've had my trd kit on my camry kit since jan 1999, the most notorious things that need repainting are front valances...so i'm guessing that would be the next suspect that you might see wearing off...

i was thinking the thickest 3M clear bra for the front valances...but when i did an inquiry search, the guy selling was honest..he said the very most it will prevent road debris and pebbles from making marks, but if roads are bad that lead to scuff marks, then those will happen even if you 'wrap' them! Not to mention, its only like 40-60 to paint the front valances..thats ain't too shabby!
