Shocks problem?

Shocks problem?

to test your shocks, you push the back of the car down to see if it bounces up and down more than once right? and if it does the shocks need to be replaced. my question is, i did that today and the car bounces up and down once then it moves forward and back about 2 or 3 times before it fully stops. anything wrong with that?

If it makes any noise over a bump......like a thunk or wee wee then ya know for sure...a lite tsk sound is normal for gas shocks...

amazing...when my celica needed new struts, the bounce test didn't really give any indications of needing new stuts. It was mostly driving when i'd hit a pot hole and hear a THUD...i guess when THUD's became more frequenet and ride quality sucked..i knew it was time. How's your ride quality, do you bottom out ever? How often?

And for those who don't know how to lift your car up, its easy....

only catch is that you got to be from krypton
