Got the Solara back from the bodyshop after hitting the deer. They did a great job, you can't tell it's not factory paint on the new hood! They repainted the passenger mirror too because it had a scuff that wouldn't buff out and at certain angles it looks just a bit brighter that the rest but it's fine. They also found that the driver headlight and turn signal had broken mounting tabs so those are all new.

These GM guys were impressed that there wasn't even a tiny mark on the bumper cover, said it's real unusual that the paint didn't split somewhere. The shop manager took it for a test ride, couldn't believe how smooooth it runs and drives!!

Something interesting I didn't know is that the pinstripe is painted on. I was gonna remove it when I took the emblems off, good thing I didn't try.

Of course they washed it and put that nasty shiny stuff on the tires..

i find that it looks good initially, but after a week or so the tires are dirtier than if you didn't put it on (it attracts dirt!)

Man I wash my car two and sometimes three times a week, Ive got a
CJ-5 Jeep and I tried putting silicone to make the tires shiny and boy does that attrack some dust on those 32 X 11.5's, but it looks good sitting in my drive way.

LOL i love shinning the tires, until they get wet and they the tires look flat black and they drip onto the rims. O well, the things we do to make out cars look good
