i think the people attempting this found difficulties in sensors and such for the auto a/c conversion.

and, are you talking about the daytime run lights?
(drl) or the light sensor on the upper right side of the dash

Yes I am talking about the daytime run lights. There is a connector on my 2000 solara se 4 cyl. on passenger side for that but i want to know how to use it to upgrade to this feature of daytime running lights.

It's very easy to do.

Sell your car and buy an SLE.

It would be a lot of work to get either of those projects to work.

its possible, but the amount of work and effot and mulla you put into this measly change, you would have wished you would have spent elsewher! Its not just swapping out units!
