Removing grille

Removing grille

Postby trioptimum » Sun Jul 24, 2005 10:48 pm

I can't get the freaking grille off. The 3 bolts aren't a problem, it's the clip or whatever on the bottom. How do I get it out of there? I've seen the post below, but it wasn't very helpful. I've stabbed and pried all over with a screwdriver on the bottom, nothing even hints at coming off. Anyone ever done it?! Tips? Thanks in advance ^^.

To take off my grill, I had to take off the bumper... although I had to take off the bumper anyway because I cracked it.

But when I had to take off the grill, it had to take a little force to pop it out of the holes. I also think you may have to move it side to side to get it loose.

When looking at your solara headone, after remoing your three bolts, pull towards you (horizontally) don't pull up...(i know many moons ago i was ?? when i couldn't get it out trying to pull it upward)...pull it outward not upward!
