well my car died 3 times on teh way home.... i had to jump start it 3 times..... it seems like if i go under 1k rpm the car dies.... i thinking its the battery... but it could be the alternator..... when i gas it the lights get stronger and the more electricty is uses the less power it has.... any suggestions?

It might be that your battery isn't holding a charge. . .

make sure the terminals are tight. My uncles camry kept dying becuase he didnt tighten the terminals. Just take your battery to pep boys or something and have them test it. If everything checks out with your battery then its something else. good luck

lights getting faded with lower rpm's usually equates to an alternator problem, three times in one route back to home recharging is a lot. Get the battery checked, but my guess is still alternator.

mine is alt or bad connection also..a bad batt/good alt usually will still run once started..adding a new batt will remedy the problem immediately but it will be back if its the alt

test your alt w/ a mulitmeter while the car is running to be safe and be sure it read between 13-14 volts

or you can buy an alt tester for a few bucks which will do the same thing

a bad connection is a possiblity also just keep and eye on it for a week
