Dude - you just described the usual symptoms of a 'worn' out regulator (working sometimes and not working other times). It happened on my camry, so sometimes you feel like it all works and don't wnat to spend..other times it doesn't and you scratch you head???
Cheapest fix would be for you to talk to matt...he's really a cool guy at HTC. I'm sure he would be able to 'hook' you up (his username is Negative at HTC). For all you know you may just need to re-lube everything and it might work...i'm sure he can take a peek and let you know...

dude, i had the same symptoms.....broken regulator.
apexautoparts.com - $100 shipped, did the repair myself. it was very easy. if you're mechanically inclined, you dont even need a haynes manual.

Today when I got in my car, my window stopped working. Where is the regulator located at?

my drivers side window has been having issues, but i think mine is some problem in the switch. it feels like its getting jammed sometimes, but if i open and shut the car door enough, it works fine again. any ideas?
