Spare tire or new rim

Hi guys, need some opinions on what to do about this.

My 99 solara is missing its spare tire but in a few days I'll be getting some new tires. Should I get a new spare tire or get a rim and install one of the old tires onto it and use that as a spare? I would have to buy a spare or rim either way.

what if you just forget about putting a new spare tire in your trunk? that will shave some pounds off.

the solara come with a full size spare, so i say just slap your old wheels in there as spare first. and just go junkyard pick one up later.

AAA only tow 7 miles, the weight you try to save is not worth it.

Hm don't know where the local junkyard is around here. San Francisco. Do you guys know where I can get a spare tire and how much it'll cost me?

I also see a used rim on Ebay for $109. Decent deal? Here's the link:
