Spark Plugs Cost?

Spark Plugs Cost?

Postby LatinDragonXJC » Wed Oct 19, 2005 10:57 am

I found a site that's selling a Full set of 6 NGK IRIDIUM Spark Plugs for $50 bucks. Is this a good deal? Everywhere else I check it's 11.99 each.

Or do you guys know of any other sites that have good prices for plugs and wires?

i never understood the before hand numbers of iridium spark plugs, such as IK22 or IK20.

the site that Latin Dragon has posted up, is that for stock replacements? or...what?

All I know is the 22's run cooler, which have no benefit for the N/A.

IK20 - for N/A
IK22 - for S/C

Great find! I'm sure a lot of us here can use this to our advantage. Since plugs especially for V6's ranges over 50.

Thanks for the feedback, I guess Im getting them. How much do NGK wires usually run? I got this site from one of the old posts about a plug/wire package for 80 something I think. They don't have the plugs, but the wires for a V6 are 35.99.

Do Iridium plugs really make a noticible difference as compared to platinum 2X headed sparks?

There should be a noticeable difference. It is a upgrade compared to just a 2x headed platium. Even the bosch 4 platium was pretty good but it would get too hot for my camry back then. As far as spark plug wires, if you want to go performance I would say get either magnecore or Sparkco Wires. Both run around from 80-100 bucks. But are worth it. Try not to use NGK wires, not really worth the money for those. Thin and do not last long at all, if money is an issue just get Denso OEM ones again.

Is Denso, just as good as the Magnecore/Sparkco? And are Denso OEM compatible with iridium plugs, or it doesnt really matter?

Last question...... where can I find Denso wireS?
