I'm posting this on behalf of Ed (edfrsd).

I was wondering if there was any interest in projector and/or tail lights for the 2002 Camry. I have spoken to the TYC sales marketing and they want to see the interest level for these products.

www.elegantebytyc.com

Possible projects will only include:
2002-2003 Gen1.5 Solara
1999-01 Gen1 Solara
2002-2004 Gen5 Camry

Cast your vote if you are interested in it for your particular vehcile.

Projectors

Make them HID compatible!! I.e. levelers, etc, whatever comes in a factory HID system/headlights so we can have the same focus and look as MB, BMW, Audi, Lexus. Jon.

How long before we know anything? Are they looking for a certain number of replies? If so, get everyone to vote. They should make a seperate lamp for low and high beam.

If they make that I wouldnt have any more need for that front end conversion I want so badly.

Keep in mind guys...i'm posting this info for a friend whos dealing with TYC directly. Please don't ask when it will be available, how much it will cost or what it will look like.

As for the company itself, it is a very good one and has done Celica tails. My friend Paul was the prototype for them and is currently sponsored through them. The tails are very tasteful in design and are not ricey at all.

If they make the Solara headlights like the Civic one in the web site, I will buy it!

Lights

Postby JMSinMaryland » Thu Jan 02, 2003 5:33 pm

I called them up to see around how many people they would need to develop headlights and they said most likely a few thousand, there are many tests that need to be run and R&D for headlights to make them SAE/DOT legal, they said they are more likely to make taillights where light dispersion, etc doesnt matter as much. Flip,

Any way that we can get projectors and get away from the H4 bulbs. I hate dual filament bulbs. HIDs would be nice
