Gas gauge question

Gas gauge question

Postby aleath » Fri Jan 03, 2003 9:58 pm

Whenever I fill my Solara up after I used about 3/4 of a tank of gas, it takes like 2 minutes for the gauge to read full. Is this normal on a Solara or could my sensor be bad? Almost every other car I've seen usually reads full right after cutting it on..

mine does that too. if your sensor was bad, it wouldn't read at all. don' worry 'bout it.

GRRR that is one of those little things on our car that bothers me. My brothers camry does the same thing. My dads truck had a bad fuel sensor and his amt in tank would go from full to 1/2 then after like 5 minutes to 3/4 and back down to 1/4. Stuff like that. We just have a slow response time
