Tachometer Error?
Hey everyone,
I bought my Solara last year with under 50K on it. It's a 1999 SLE V6 Auto, and now its a little over 80K. I was so excited when I was buying the car that I didn't notice that there was something wrong with the tach.
It shoots all the way up to 9,000 RPM
. Now I don't believe the engine is ACTUALLY revving up to 9,000 (I HOPE NOT). I think the Tachometer is just calibrated wrong? Does anyone know what could have caused this problem? And how to fix it?
Thanks!
