I noticed the other day a hizzing sound that i am assuming is coming from the brake pedal area. its hizzing all the time, not extremely loud but you can hear it when the radio is off. anyhow when i step on the brake pedal the sound dissapears. any ideas??? thank you..

I guess it might be a vacuum leak from the brake booster? That shouldn’t be happening at this point in the cars life cycle though. I would recommend having the dealership check it out.
Let's just pretend I didn't grow up, or you're going to be terribly disappointed.

i have the exact same thing!!! you can barely hear it, sounds like some kind of friction or something. Im not tooo concerned but i'd like to know what it is

brake pads maybe.... can you only hear it inside with windows rolled up?

I have the same problem except you hear the hissing when you press the brake vs not pressing it. I haven't taken it in yet, but it was pretty much agreed on the board that there was a tear in the vacuum booster that was getting in to the cabin. It's not loud but you can hear it if you have the radio off too.

I have the same problem as Karma... When i got my brakes done they mentioned something about needing a new brake booster, so im assuming thats where the noise is coming from also.

i have the hissing sound, but i just got new pads and rotors. when i break they dont sound anymore. so im assuming its not that serious...?
