Ok...sometime after Gen 5 camry came out....Gen 4 TRD ktis were discounted for $300...I just heard that COrolla 98-00 & 01-02 TRD kits are also being discounted..and sold CHEAP! (cheaper than camry kits).

So, if the theory holds...true...when the next solara comes out...sometime towards the first year...we should/could expect trd solara kits cheap too?

AM i :drinking: or does this sound too good???

Problem is TRD allready sold out all of their stock on the solara kits and now we must buy them directly from molly designs. With the camry kits they had trouble selling them and still had inventory. They were discounted 80% to the dealers so the kits ended up being $250-$400

That's a hoax. You can still order the kit through TRD authorized distributors. It's unlikely that TRD nor Molly will blow out the kit for the Solara because the kit will sell regardless. It's TRD/Molly's best selling kit for passenger cars.

But TRD no longer stocks the kits. Its only what dealers have in their inventory. When the camry kits were discontiued TRD discounted the kits directly to the dealers.

Point taken. I forgot about the 02-03 kits. Either way they won't be discounted

I read somewhere that TRD has decided to stop developing aero kits for the majority of their cars so that they can expand in performance parts or something... This is due to lack of sales and the availability of so many 3rd party body kits. I think I read it from some official post, but this was a while ago so I may be wrong

i think that would be a wise decision from trd. they really need to crank out some more performance parts. they're too limited.

yeah, read that too
because of so much aftermarket competition they're only going to focus on suspension/engine mods for a while

Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight...as if they produced any of their kits themselves...all they did was pay other companies to do it, and TRD did the marketing and distribution. Lame...
