I just had a new Fuel Sending Unit that I bought from the local dealer, cost me $100 bucks or whatever. I had nearly a full tank of gas so thats what it read .. but after 200 miles, it still read full tank. So I took it back and they said the float was stuck at the top.. and they sat it down, and it read 1/4 of a tank .. so I put 3 gallons in it, and it didn't move.. but I figured since its a big tank to begin with, 3 gallons didn't phase it.

Now I have drivin 50 miles since they put the float down and the needle hasn't moved. My fuel low light still works but that wasn't ever an issue. I tested the relay switch under the hood and according to my haynes manual, it tests fine.. (although the haynes manual doesn't say how many Ohms it should read). The place that i had it installed at are very good and they said the FSU tests fine (ohm wise and moving it manually watching the gauge)...

Does anyone have any suggestions at all.. or know what Ohms the relay should be reading at ?

Oh, the fuel system is pressurizing and the fuel pump works just fine.

167k miles on car

Haynes Manual is wrong.

A-B should read 280+ ohms
A-C should read 126ohms
B-C should read around 160 ohms

The haynes manual has a-b and a-c backwards.

Well, ITS NOT THE flippin FUEL GAUGE! screw, I have no idea whats wrong with the fuel gauge not working.

Fuel Sending Unit is Ohm'ing out just fine... Fuel Gauge is ohm'ing out fine. I even ordered another cluster, not new of course.. but it ohms the same way and i installed it anyway but no working fuel gauge.

ANYONE HAVE ANY IDEAS!?!!?!!?

?? I'm not sure what you are talking about.

On the fuel sending unit, there is a red wire that leads to the connection at the top.. there is also a ground wire that it uses that is attached to the fuel pump.

Then on top, there is a set of wires that connects the fuel pump/fuel sending unit to the gauges in the front.
