Heated Side Mirrors - Activate?

Heated Side Mirrors - Activate?

Postby Omes01SLE » Mon Nov 27, 2006 10:49 am

Hi There,
I was just wondering how the heated side mirrors get activated? There is no seperate button for them - do they come on automatically when you defrost your rear window?
thanks in advance for the help.

No the passenger's does too IIRC... It was 33 degrees one morning and both mirrors cleared in about 6 minutes, whereas I could be driving without side mirrors for a good half-hour commute in my old cars.

It might take some time and some hard work since you dont have the mirrors and the auto climate control.

Yeah, the mirrors themselves are more expensive than average mirrors and probably more wiring. Putting climate control on a manual HVAC isn't an easy task, but you might be able to tap the wire that goes to the rear defroster switch.

By the way, whatever happened to Bread Pirate?
