Hot starting problem with '01 Solara convertible

My '01 Solara convertible sometimes dies right after starting when enging is hot. No problem the first time starting up in the moring only after the car has been driven.

I heard it is a fuel pressure regulator/fuel pump problem. Car has 98k miles now.

Anyone has this issue?

is it overheating? or everything is normal and it just doesnt wanna turn off while the engine is warmed up?


if it was the fuel pump and ur car wasnt getting enough fuel, i'd think that u'd get a CEL, but i could be wrong.

The car runs fine otherwise, no overheating or anything else.

Sometimes it just dies right after starting when hot. I have to crank for a few more seconds and perhaps a few tries to get it started.

Throttle Position Sensor (TPS) might be going out...

This same thing happen to my Camry and this was the problem that caused it
