blaze is right. you can access it easier if you remove your glove box. 4 screws and a 10mm bolt in the right corner will help you take that sucker off. after that it's all easy.

all solaras have this feature. next time its dark, keep your lights in the off position, then turn them on, and off again. you will see that there is no difference becasue they automatically turn on at night and you can't turn them off even if you want to. the only way to disable this feature is to unplug that sensor.

mebbe yours burnt out? :o either way i just had to deal with this, once you disconnect the sensor the driving lights are still on. I think if u pull your ebrake up one tic it keeps it from activating as well.

huh? i know they got rid of DRLs in the later models because people didn't like it, but i was under teh impression that all solaras had their headlights turn on automatically. do you have the sensor on your dash?

i think its easier just to pop it up w/ something flat and unplug it. Dont need to unscrew anything it took me 1 minute in the parking lot.

My 2003 Solara does not turn on it headlamps at dark. If you don't use the switch it gets dark and the DRLs stay on. It also has a position on the stalk for DRL OFF.
