arghhhh!

arghhhh, solara's sitting in the shop, appears my brake lines were jammed and the brake piston jammed so that wore out my left side brake + disc : my left side tierod inner and outer were also busted for some reason and might as well change the stab links....

that's without mentionning the f*ed up evap system, the non functionnal handbrake and the horn...

to top it off, I just ordered lowering springs and struts that I still need to put in....

my initially 3000$ car is starting to cost me more than what I paid for... I should have gotten a mazda6 ...remind me why I love my solara please...

usually the older the cars get the more maintenance or repair that it will require.

My dad's Accord have a problem with the window but it was due to a bad previous owner.

So, your blaming the car because you didn't notice the caliper froze and because you hit something that bent the suspension/steering gear?

Remember you did pay $3000 for the car.
You get what you pay for man.
Most of the stuff like the brakes and suspension stuff you can do yourself.......

I replaced my front passenger brake hard line wit my friends when i was doin' the twin piston swap, wit SS brake lines.

^LMAO, dude you always have something to say lol funny tho.

anyways.
Yep you get what you pay for man!

when i bought my solara a few years back i payed 4500, and since i bought it the only thing's ive had to do was change the clutch, rear motor mount (and that's still messed up i need a new one)
and the only little problems i have now is that motor mount i mentioned. I need an axle boot. and my tune.

other than that the car has been running great with no problems, thats why i love my car to death and would not trade it for anything in the world.

if they offered me a better car for it i would tell them to go f uck themselves

Sometimes the rule "you get what you pay for" doesn't apply in cars, like my dad's Accord for example; a 2003 Honda Accord EX-L V6 automatic with 45k at the time (2006), for only 18K out of the door.

Sorry to read that you were in a different situation than my dad, Toyota cars and trucks are really top-notch in quality and reliability, especially the older ones.

Learn to do some of the work yosself, bro. All the ill will you are feeling toward your car will turn to pride and satisfaction. The only thing better than the feeling of operating a machine you personally maintain is the bundle of money you'll save.

You'll be fine. Take a deep breath and get to work!

Is all that enough for you?

Nothing like a little "suck it up" and "you know you like it"
attitude to bring a guy back.

So there you have it, if you love your car, you love it.
Take the good with the bad. Like a marriage, except she
doesn't give a damn whether the seat on the toilet is up or down.
:sweet:
Trust me, I'm a technician.

thanks, that`s what I needed!

as for doing some work by myself, time is more the issue: they make it happen by 10 am next day and I take 2 days. but ur right , I should do more work by myself. next week it's lowering time.... rims will wait for funding...

You purchased a Solara because you knew you could get parts and they did not have to be ordered.

Mazda parts supplies can be irregular at times.
