looking to remove the spoiler on my 99 solara to fix some rattles. i looked through the threads here, but couldn't find a solid answer. does anyone know how many 10mm bolts hold the spoiler on? i've found 2, but some threads stated a possible 4.

i took mine off once...i believe it was 2 plus each end had sliding tabs
once the 2 screws are removed do NOT lift up the spoiler

try pulling it towards you...spoiler will feel very stuck
i was trying to eliminate rattle as well. once removed i filled the spoiler with expanding foam

this whole process was a waste of time because i dont think it made a difference
and i ended up braking the tabs on spoiler. had to Epoxy them back on
Spoiler went back on fine but not as flush as it originaly was.

for the record...there are 4 screws. i took my spoiler off again
2 on back side and 2 under the top side of spoiler. you will see trunk has 4 holes underneath

hard to spot because the screws can be seen from different angles.
forgot to take pictures...
