I have seen the silver the red and the black on the new 04s

silvers too popular for me

black just isnt my color no matter what the sales guy says at the dealership

im in a deep cherry like red in my 98 accord but the solaras red is more tomato ish it wasnt what i was hoping for not like those pics on the web page

so anyone seen the artic frost pearl on the web page it looks a beigy white is it really white?

and the metalic blue is that too feminine for a 27 year old STRAIGHT guy? ( not that theres anything wrong with that)

LOL... doesnt matter if you are straight or not. If you like the color... buy it. People worry waaaaaay too much if someone thinks they are "gay" these days. Just have fun, drink up, and buy a solara.

Anyway.

I plan on getting the silver 04 solara, although it is popular I dont care... that is the color that I like the most on the solara. As for the pearl white, it does not look beige at all in person. In fact, the pearl white solara looks AMAZING in person... almost with a silver tint when the sun is hitting it. I would get the white again, but I had that for my 99' and after a couple years I got tired of it... Silver I can stick with for the long haul, it is pretty neutral. When i had my Diamond White pearl 99, I did get compliments on the car all the time, and it looks VERY VERY CLASSY.

i think colors kinda depend on where you live too... I live in a desert and my neighbor's black truck has that faded look and its a fairly new truck.. and everytime i would walk by a dark vehicle its as if I get a much more hotter feeling than compared to as if I walked by a lighter colored vehicle.... but of course, its preference that always rules... good luck!

Haha..you'd be surprised how many guys call up for roadside that have purple cars.

If I had to choose between those two colors, i'd probably lean towards the pearl...seems more classic and timeless compared to the other one.

Colorss

Postby kinihawaii » Mon Sep 22, 2003 8:17 am

I just bought the arctic frost 04 Solara. Previous comment that it looks awesome in person is correct. It's a very "Lexus" color. Very classy and expensive looking.

Shoe,

I have seen these colors on the 04 Solara in person:

silver, red, gold, white, and blue

My thoughts:

red: Looked damn good, but too flashy for an old man like me. I'd get tired of it after a while

gold: too Buicky looking!

white: Looked nice, but it's not a bright white as Toyota makes it out to be. Didn't seem any whiter than any other white car out there.

blue: I thought the blue looked classy and sophisticated. I didn't get the feminine vibe at all.

silver: Yea, there's a bunch of silver out there, but in my humble opinion it captures all aspects of owning a car. It's a sporty look with a flavor of sophisitcation. Since it's a classic color, I doubt I'll grow tired of it (My last three vehicles have been silver).

I wish the Solara came in a charcoal or graphite color! I think that would look nice, too!

Best way to decide is to look and drive! Have fun! Buying a car is truly a fun experience. And I've found owning a new Solara is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life...right up there with my "first time," the birth of my children, and the Packers actually winning a football game.

Best of luck!
