2 Tickets within 1 week

I've hit 125 last week on 70 om my way to Houston, I felt like the driver and passenger windows are going to blow up. Then, I got a ticket on a service road, I was driving 80 and the speed limit was 55. that was my second ticket within 1 week - First ticket - in that week not in my life - I was driving 88 on 183 (Austin) and the speed limit is 65. The cop was nice to me and knocked off to 75 so I can take the deffensive driving course. :)

^^ what he said....

Happy suggested Valentine 1: But you need to learn how to speed in reality. Over hills and curves, you need to slow down...when you can't see the horizon...you bet thats the best spot an officer would choose to monitor oncoming traffic. I admit it - I speed on a daily basis. But i usually got 60 untill someone overtakes me and then i tail him (not tailgate - but tail)...cus there's more probability that the person ahead of me gets targeted..and NOT me (but those techniques have failed me thrice in the last 8 years of driving).

really? i always feel safer when someone is speeding behind me, from my experience, much less than 8 years, that seems to be the way to go

i hate when i have to follow a friend

i've had 4 tickets and been out in court not guilty each time without a lawyer, so i've been lucky.

i've never been pulled over with someone else speeding behind me, i've been pulled over once following-- well racing a friend going 105 in my 92 camry (got a warning)

i seriously think the person speeding in the back is more at risk

ADVICE: Slow Down

RULE #1: Make sure that someone is going faster than you. It's is a good thing to get passed every so often. That way the cop up ahead will be busy when you roar by.

RULE #2: Plead not guilty. Maybe the cop won't show up in court. Maybe the judge will let you plea bargain down to a seat belt infraction. It's always worth a shot.

Or he could continue being irresponsible by speeding. He could continue bragging about it. And then one day he could kill himself, or even worse, an innocent person. For some reason the latter is always more likely to occur. The stupid survive and the innocent die. Sounds fair, doesn't it?
