Thank for sharing my pain, guys.

I'll take it to the insurance's office for estimate next Friday 10/24. For now, the most damaged area should be the hood (anyone has any CF hood available for sell? :D ).
The windshield is ok, there are lots of cratches all over the front bumper, two side mirrors, on the top.

the good think is I only have to pay $100 deductible, and I might be able to talk to the bodyshop to paint & install the body kit for me as well.

For happy_aggies,
I'm about to drop it this weekend. I have the Votgland springs & Tokico Blue shockes waiting at home now.
Hopefully, within a month, I could have the rest ready.

To do list:
* take the car to the shop for this accident.
* put TRD bodykit & customized front bumper on
* install struts & springs.
* install TRD rear sway bar
* install Brembo drilled rotors
* install new Axxis rear pads.
* paint the brake calipers.
* install the ODB-II to my carputer project
* customize my trunk with 3 12" JL Audio instead of 1 15" MTX 8000 now.

:D :D

I can't wait.

Guys,

It seems like the hood will need to be replaced. Several body shops that I took my car in for pre-estimated said the cost for the new hood & paint would be cheaper than fixing the damaged.
So I'm looking to buy a carbon fiber hood now.

I've found this VIS hood on ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayI ... 2437476919
However, this guy is grand new @ ebay, does anyone know anything about him? Is he from VIS inc or something? I already emailed the guy but got no response yet.

or should I go with the CF hood from Adventon?
http://www.adventon.com/acb/showdetl.cf ... 8&CATID=65

I hate the look of the hood pins, is there another way to look the cf down as an oem one?

Thanks.

Carbon Fiber

Postby SolaraT » Sat Oct 18, 2003 4:17 pm

I would go with Adventon. I just purchased an Ingen Intake from them alot cheaper then any other place I have seen and its the same thing. Ingen is Ingen / Carbon Fiber is Carbon Fiber. My 2 cents. That would look sweet on your car by the way! :lol:
