That's a shame. I thought you wouldn't expect that with a car they've been making for 4 years. 03's have navi?

cool, thanks! my question is, what do these bulletins actually mean? if you car is out of warranty (i have 67k) and you have one of these issues, can you get it fixed for free still? also, my front driver side window has lots of wind noise now, a whistling sound, even with the window completely up. there is a mention of wind noise in the 03' TSB, but not in the '00 TSB, so am I out of luck?

What's this?

Engine Controls - ECU Flash Reprogramming Process

Is that something I should check on with the dealership? The 2002 Solara SE I4 has that TSB.

Postby HwEaNnRgY » Mon Nov 24, 2003 12:48 am

so now wat do we do? take it back to the dealer and ask them to fix all the problems for free?

and by the way, is it me or is it that wen you take your car to a car wash, the water sometimes leaks through the drivers side window?

it is worth noting that many of the TSB's in that list apply to more than just the solara. some are "all toyota models."
some only apply to specific VIN ranges.

bottom line: not all of those apply exclusively to 2003 solaras!

Now you guys can't tell me that all those TSB'S apply to every 03 Solara SLE that came off the assembly line. Your only looking for problems when you think you have problems and you don't. I had one of those TSB'S which was the loose seat and didn't worry much about it and now I don't feel the movement anymore. Once they start tearing your car apart I guarantee you, your beutiful Solara will never be like it was when it came from the factory. If and when a problem arises then I will have my speedster repaired. One final note look up a $50,000+ Hummer and see how many TSB'S that vehicle has compared to a Solara and you might think twice about how many Solara's have.
