I can feel that almost like 7 times out of 10. Whenever I turn off the car then try to close the door I feel that dzzzdzzz!! its not really that but I guess you know what I mean. Its been like that since ever, but didn't think about posting it. I took the car to the dealership to check it and they said everything was fine. Has anyone of you had that before? Is it normal?

No I got leather. The thing is that I usually drive 4 other cars other than the Solara and never feel that except with my car

I only have that few times, and I hate it that is the reason why I never want to touch any door in Las Vegas. My cousin's accord always does that thoguh and I think it's the cloth seats.

I've noticed it a lot too..... if you touch the window first before metal, it usually doesn't happen

It's normal. Carpet in the car or seats, combined with the dryer weather that winter brings. I just ground myself with my leg whenever I get out of a car. Then, when I get zapped (and it's invariable), it gets my calf and not my fingertips.

commonplace with Jeep grands

Yep, this is a big issue with Jeep Grand Cherokees. On the BB some users have hinted that certain tires (ones with lower carbon black content) tend to give a shock when you get out of the car because of the ground potential difference.

No zap problems with the solara, but the Jeep always zaps and the camry sometimes did.

What tires are you all running?

Ya like hsakuragi said I remember seeing something on the news quite a while back. Someone's car blew up and they died from static electricity at the pump.
