Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

Anyone ever try this chip?

This is the same as the stickers, the more you put to your car, the more power you'll get...
The ONE & ONLY Fully Loaded 2006 X Avalon Limited with Body Kit in CA = Special Limited Edition + First 2GR-FE rebored the throttle body (i think...)

Note: Hsakuragi = kidding. The only real "chip" upgrades involve taking out the ECU and having it reprogrammed by a performance shop (I dont think anyone has attempted it yet). =P
1GR-FE ftw!

What that "chip" is, is a resistor you can buy at radioshack for less than 50 cents. You attach it to you IAT (Intake Air Temperature) sensor and it tells the ECU that the air coming in is 30 degrees (or somewhere around there) and the ECU supposedly adds more fuel and advances timing to increase output around 1 horse power. The most I've heard about anyone getting out of an IAT resistor is 2 horsepower and that was in a modded Camaro SS.
Nascar would be a sport if half the cars were driving the other direction.

^ That's retarded, what a waist of time. 2 HP is like jumping from 89 octane to 91 for more power (you can't feel the difference on a Solara). :-?
Yeah, I've owned 2 Solaras so.............................Image

lol, I never said it was a good idea. And that's 2HP if you're extremely lucky.

I bought one and put in on my car like a year ago all it is is a resistor like someone else said. The only thing it really did was make my gas milage worse, I can tell you what kind of resistor it is.If you want try SEARCH, I sent a pic and the code to krooked solara but it was like a year ago. Anyway if you really want to try it email me and I will find the resistor and tell you what kind to use, but I would not mess with it, its not worth the risk of screwing up your car for a 1-5 hp gain at most.
