FInally DISABLE DRL's the right WAY

I took it to this guy who is amazing with electronics and he had to go under my steering wheel and he found the Daytime running light relay and cut into the ignition wire because the DRL was linked into the ignition so whenever i turn the car on the lights come on automatically so he had to re-wire it so now i can control my Lights it is incredible!!!

there aren't any directions on how to do it though... wrong forum in DIY

There was an easier way of disconnecting the sensor on the dash so you can control 'em and the plug in the upper right side of the engine bay to disable 'em.
5-speed V6.
TRD Supercharger.
TRD Short Throw Shifter.
Tokico/Eibach combo.

I just unplugged that gray sensor in top right engine bay and it worked. Easier.

Yea, worked for me too, and my night sensor still works. No need for cutting, so maybe that is the 'RIGHT' way.

I recall the DRL circuit has a resistor in the wire going to the lights to cut the power from them for daytime use. Disconnecting this resistor (or the wire its in series with) would cut the power for the DRL and not affect anything else. I think this is what people are disconnecting under the hood. This seems like the easiest and cleanest way, IMHO

Hey TRD MCV20L, First try unpluging the grey plug in the upper left side of the engine bay.. and unpluggin the sensor on tha dash (both the plug and sensor are on the passenger's side) Those will do the job hopefully.
