Got estimate

That deer cost $1,472. Luckily no dents in the passenger door, just a scuff from it's foot. Lots of paint blending to try to get it all to match. Waiting for the estimate to print out another guy walked in who needed an estimate too...yep..deer hit.

yeah, my friend was doing 100 when he hit a deer, the deer just flew past...but his poor blazer rental was totalled (damn...he didn't have insurance...good thing he's a charmer....he sweet talked the enterprise lady to add insurane and he reported it a day late! PHEW!). I've almost hit deer's myself, its scarry...don't know to slow down (and give him time to see your headlights and come towards yo) or to go faster (to go past him, before he see's you).

How's the deer? Well I didn't see him by the side of the road and there wasn't any blood and hardly any hair, pretty much bounced off the hood and past the passenger window and was gone. I suspect he ran home, took some ibuprofen and told all his deer buddies he just trashed 2 cars....

The Solara will be repaired at the best body shop here (Chevy garage) so it'll be as good as possible. They ordered the parts already, expect them in Friday, said they'll take the car Monday for 3 days.
