Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

Anyone get Haters with the 1.5?

the first question most people ask me is if it's my parents car, and they are usually suprised when i say its mine. I think its just got a lot more class than other cars out there around the same price

I had a guy one time tell me my Solara was a family car.
He drove a riced out 2nd Gen Eclipse RS.

Doesn't the RS come with windows you have to roll up with your hands?

I have to admit. When I first got my solara, I hated it. But the moment I tooked it for a spin, its like falling in love. Only this love is going to stay. I drove it to my friends house and they all made fun of how granny I was. But the moment I took them for a cruise, they all shutted the heck up. I even raced their "bad ass Civics" and they ended up shutting up to. Im telling you solara's arnt your typical car. It was made to impress. Your friends just arnt old enough yet to realize you in a luxury class with an attitude.

Heres what you can ALWAYS say to them....What do you see more on the side of the road? A Toyota or a Honda? I dont have to use this line at my friends. They already give my car its respect. They even asking me to go on a road trip in my car because their rice bangers too rough....Hands down on the solara :drinking: And it comes with JBL Speakers muahahah.

Yeah, i knew that a 99 is a gen1 but i really really want a gen 1.5 because of the front, i love the bumper on the 1.5s they look sweet.. But money wont permit me to get a v6 1.5 because they are kindof expensive in my area, so it will have to be a 1.5 4 cyl or a 1 6 cyl, and i think i want a 6 cyl, because i think a solara is kinda a sports car, and it needs a sportier engine..
