Stock talk about the Generation 1 and 1.5 Toyota Solara which were produced from 1999 to 2003.

Is it me or do alot of old people drive our cars?

Yanks that the funniest joke I've heard in awhile....

i always notice older people driving solaras...especially the convertibles...i think it's b/c of the price tho

a lotta kids can't afford a solara..usually the only younger people (like 18 and under) that have em are ones that have really awesome parents, or people like me who just got lucky finding a good paying job for their age and can afford it.

i know i'm spoiled cause i didn't think that up to 20k was a lot for me to pay when i was lookign for a car..most of my friends thought that 100 bucks was like a mortgage payment! i guess it pays off to save your money!

listen you young ungreatful asses-------you guys still have your dipers on,its the reason
why you can't afford a new 2002 or 2003 car with a super slick front
and back lights that beats any car except 2002 lex ES 300,any way
all the girls (chics) love those lights.

If you saw old people driving the car it goes to show that teenagers
lend there cars to their parants and grandparants, because they know
its a save car for them.

Most old people do not like sitting in the back
because you need a crane to get them out.

The car is sexy the car is luxurios and sporty and yes lots of chicks
own it and they lend them to there elders----soooooooo what!!!!!

Not to mean or anything but I find it interesting that Toyota classifies this car as a retired persons car.

Well it really was targeted after babyboomers and those who were reaching their retirement age. It's been that way since it's first conception. The Genesis marketing group inside Toyota targeted the Celica, MR2, Echo and etc with the marketing ploy "Is this Toyota?" which was mainly targeted at the Gen X and Gen Y crowd. Funny thing is that Echos seem to be more popular with the older crowd than the younger. hehe.

heheh..i can't resist.
i don't see why we would be ungrateful asses. i'm proud that i could afford a 17k car w/ $2,500 insurance at the age of 17. plus, i worked for it...i didn't get it from my mommy or daddy. what were u doing when you were 17?? not everyone can be mr. pimp daddy...sorry........(oh, and who f*ckin cares about the lights!! it's merely a piece of plastic w/ colors!) hehehe :evilbat:

ok...well first of all..if they lend their cars to their parents b/c they know it's a safe car..that does not makes any sense. you lend your car to someone if they need to borrow it for some reason...i let my mother take my car ONCE b/c her car broke down...and i doubt every older person you see driving a solara is borrowing it.

well, i just took some low stabs, but whatever..i'm feeling very "flip-ish"...heheh.

soooooo what hisssy missy you can give or borrow your old solara car
to crookie hookie solera or whatever his name is and let him pay
for your misgivings :D

there is something about a solera that gets us irritated when people
talk about our cars.

epecially when your reminded that cars built before may 2001
have slush or deposit build up in the engine due to tempeture differences
in the engins and thanks to the engineers at toyota they fuc'ed up
because they change the engine design due to non-complient to
emisson test------so do not change the oil every 7000 miles like the book says, you shold do it every 3000 miles -----go ahead flipside909 explain the above. ------it is sad to know that the old must be taken care of
so work hard 17 year old and put some real synthethic oil in there or let
the hawaii guy pay for it he likes you.
