On most cars it seems a wind blocker is needed. Driving down the road there is always some speed that will start causing air turbulence creating a loud thudding noise. I ordered my 99 Solara with the wind blocker and was happy to not have the noise. Although I must admit, I never liked the way it looked.
A few years later, I spok to another Solara owner that didn't have the wind blocker and I asked if that thudding noise bothered them. They told me they never had that noise even without the wind blocker. I went home and took it off and have never had that noise at any speed. I like it much better with it off. So when you ask if it works, it's hard to answer because it doesn't change anything but looks. -JoeB
