Brake pad question

Postby bassthrive » Sun Apr 23, 2006 9:37 pm

I put the brake quiet on all the surfaces yesterday (pad back, inner shim and back of outer shim at caliper interface) and the squealing is completely gone. I am using wagner thermo-quiet ceramic pads.

my .02......when applying disc brake quiet ( doesn't matter what color it is) I usualy only apply it between the shim and the pad back and re-install. Don't have to apply directly onto the caliper piston, it just makes it messy and unecessary. This is based on my experience with changing brakes.
