Flip: Great pic's.....Did any one upgrade wiring in those pic's! (minus the obvious HID dudes)....like yourself?? (Sylvania silverstar's are street legal...i truly learnt that TODAY). do they last longer than PIAA (which i know light up nicely, but i've heard they burn out very quickly, hence no no for PIAA's for me)....how long have you had your Sylvania's for?

All oem wiring harness. Any Sylvania brand bulb will outlast the PIAAs. I guarantee that. I've had the H4 Silverstars ever since they came out for our application. This was about September or October? I forgot.

I definately agree about disabling the auto on feature. That is my next project. I'm working on a new switch panel which will let me turn the auto on feature off. As a rule of thumb with HIDs as with everything, "you get what you pay for". I have the fake xenon bulbs and they look amazing and they're bright too, but compared to my mom's maxima with the real HIDs there is no comparison.

Powerbulb's silverstars are by Osram. Personally, I think they offer superior lighting since they don't have the blue tint at the tip like the Sylvania Silverstars do.

i am just wondering.. you guys are spending all this money on these bulbs but when u add up the money u spend on bulbs.. its cheaper to just get ther REAL HID system.. they run pretty cheap nowadays and have dual beams.. even though u don't need them...

We don't spend money on bulbs. We buy what's best and what's functional. If you can do a cost comparison, $40 bucks for a pair of Silverstars is much more cost efficient than HID systems that cost $300 for single filament only. Dual beam HID just recently came out and it's not a cheap option. Perhaps in the longrun, it will get cheaper. If $300+ is cheap for you, why don't you buy us a pair? Why even mention HID's when you don't even need them? Kind of contradicting yourself already huh?

ok.... $30-$50 versus $350+. unless i forgot how to do math or shop at the wrong places.

I want HID, but i think i could be happy with silverstars.

okay when u blow out bulbs or even melt harnesses from the bulbs and i have no problem with my HID kit only drawing 35w currents and discharging much more light im just saying u get wat u pay for... and you will eventually save on a real kit cause of the money u will keep paying to replace bulbs.. it was only a suggestion... oh and when i said u don't need them.. i meant u don't need the duals cause the HIDs are bright enough however some ppl out there want it to pass inspection like me...
