WunLoudSolara, so did you ever change your clutch on your 160K mile solara?

My Solara (132K miles) works pretty well. The only real thing that broke was the seal between the engine and the oil pan. Took me about $150 to fix that. Beyond that, everything is covered within the standard maintenance schedule.

Only 42,000 on my '02 (okay, so it's not REALLY a "Gen 1"). If it's like any other Toyota I've seen, take care of the car and it'll take care of you. My dad's '92 Pickup is just shy of 350,000 and still running smooth.
