holy crap 9K rpms? no way dude my tach dosent even read up to 9. unless ur tach is pinning at 8K and going up thts the only way possible. and even then redline is 6200 and fuel cut is around 6250 i think. u either have something very wrong with ur tach or some1s lying lol

hes telling the truth.. watch the video... its an electrical error.. which would be the sensor.. the tach just converts the voltage to a gauge so you can read it...

Yeah 9k RPM sounds wrong.
Car shifts at 65k RPM if you V6.
The RPM gauge stops at 8k redline at 7k RPM's.
That weird.
Could be the camshaft sensor, like "SC V6" said.

ok i watched the vid. yea ur tachs pretty messed up dude. interestingly ur cars not very loud but i guess im just used to my greddy exhaust lol. yea dude id have tht looked at.

if u take out urgauge assembly.. pull of the clear plastic cover.. the needle is spring loaded... i dotn remember which way it is but twist it clockwise over the needle stop hing and let it set and seewher eit is.. if not.. then do it counter clockwise 2 times to go back one turn from wher eit was at b4 u started one of those directions will fix it.. i used to screw with ppl and tell them i raised my rev limiter haha.. then showed them how i did it lol

he blew his engine after reving too high.
the needle actually passes the max level. actually my
other friends Jeep does that too.
