in the event i have to replace my rotors should i just get some cross drilled ones or is the benefits vs cost not worth it?

some nice cross drilled rotors wouldnt hurt. they wont be as stong as your stocks but you'll stop a bit quicker and it would sure look better.

They would look better and they are more prone to cracking if you were to stomp on the breaks hard, but yeah its cool, cause thats what im gonna do when i replace my rotors someday. I dont really thing it will improve stop time though. That would only change if you got bigger rotors with bigger calipers that have more pistons with sweet pads. Oh and new brake lines.
