Rich white kid = "my car has 500 horsepower, 500 lb-ft torque and can do 0 to 60 in 3.8 seconds!"

white kid with muscle car = "oh wow! you can read the brochure!"

yeah, anyways, it's not about the power, it's bout what you can do with it (i.e. the driver) if you're having an argument with someone bout whose car is faster (and you guys have somewhat similar power) and you're just comparing numbers, take it to the street (or track) and just find out who is faster...

yea i guess but theres only so much u can do as a driver.. when you're stock and an automatic.

a stock 5 spd would put down closer to 175 or so and about 180ft/lbs of torque

I think they put down the 133whp and 145ft/lbs so that they could make it seem like the CPE makes more power than it actually does

175 is too high. 155-160 is a stock 5 speed number and a stock auto should be 140whp ish I think.

I think it's probably closer to 165 still....but yeah, I think the 175 might be a bit too high....

but the 180ft/lbs of torque is no joke by any means...I remember when ratko put that down after his 5spd swap, and that was even with over sensitive knock sensors....

but then again, using my dynos as an example, after relocating my knock sensors, I only gained a bit of torque, but regained closer than 20 whp

on that note...I should post that up...

...er... you guys are funny!

I know this might be depressing... but this bike pulled 173hp on a dyno early last year... (If I can find it in my junk-box, I'll scan and post it...)

Prior Dyno pull was low 150's before the cams, cam springs, compression bump, Ti Yoshimura exhaust, etc... Personally, I am pretty sure the 173 number was a little optomistic, but the bike is a VERY strong machine...

Imagine losing nearly 3,000 lbs off your Solara, and giving it a power boost to boot! :o

It's not ALL roses, however... as I consume rear tires in about 1,500 - 1,700 miles... I'm on tire number 8 right now... and I DON'T do BURNOUTS! :shocked!:

WAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHH ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!
