Re: Still creaking

The creaking was gone at first, but after sitting pushing back in the seat about five times it came back. I went around to each bolt again and made sure each was at 27ft lbs. I'm going to check the bolts I can read later on, but does anyone have any ideas what else it could be? It creaks whenever I go to sit in the seat and if I push back in the seat a bit.. driving me nuts
Thanks a lot for the diagram Dav, much appreciated!
I have a 2002 Solara with power leather seats and had a similar problem. Little creaks and noises drive me nuts...anyway, after searching for the problem, it turned out to be the bottom part of the seat was rubbing against the metal wiring/staps that hold the seat together. I simply wedged a piece of cardboard between the seat material and the metal and the noise went away.
On a separate note, I find that if I brake hard, do a full stop, then hit the gas, my driver's seat goes back a bit on the track. It moves back just a hair, but enough to notice that I'm moving...anyone know what that can be?
If possible, could DavPak (or anyone else) email the exploded diagram of the seat ...thanks! Please send them to aafsdad@yahoo.com
