how much of a moron am i for getting one?

i'm also looking in the upwards of $25k range and am also looking at:
08/09 mazda3 (great commuter car, 09 is a new body style btw)
08 nissan rogue
07/08 altima 4 banger (again, great commuter car)
'06 325i

but i *reallyreallyreally* want the s2k.

any help/suggestions please!

also, i am trying to figure out a good price to sell the 'lara at... i'm just gonna dump it with the system and the wheels to *hopefully* some dumbass kid. i was thinking starting at ~$7k with the wheels and system, and after "negotiating" getting around $6k. '99 se v6 with 104k is it a fair price?

To some dumbass kid? why does the buyer have to be "dumb" ? whats wrong with ur car?

I have a potential buyer for ur car but he surely isnt "dumb", i want to know what u meant by that statement.

LOL.. i was kidding!
it does need a timing belt, and rear brakes in about 5-6k. it also needs a new bulb in the dash all the way to the left.

other than that, it's fine. it's just that i bottom out everywhere and the underside of my car doesn't look so hot.

Actually you dont really have to spend extra to get a CR. I almost got one but decided not to because of no soft top. If you leave your hard top at home, you will have no option but to leave it open for the world when its parked. The CR is not selling as well as they have predicted. It truly is an OEM track car and has zero sound deadening etc just like the old type-r cars. Its a great value for the money, but when you pay extra for audio wiring and A/C then theres def something wrong. haha.

Not bashing the CR, but I like my leather, A/C, Audio wiring, Soft top, and somewhat sound deadning if any. If track only car, CR is the way to go.

Is that possible ??? This car is unpleasant to run on normal driving. It revs way too much to get some power. But S2K are performance beauty with 120hp per liter on N/A.

normal driving = not stop and go. for that, best fun per mile would maybe be a minivan with (2) overhead dvd screens :)

Actually the new 2.2l motor makes good power where you dont have to rev it to astronomical levels to drive. Almost all the AP1 drivers trade up to the new AP2. Shes interested in the 06+ models which has the new 2.2l motor and DBW which has been proven to be more effective than the old throttle cable setup.
